Jazz Technique II.

Catalog description

Semester course; 1 lecture and 2 studio hours. 2 credits. May be repeated for a maximum of four credits. Prerequisite: DANC 151 or permission of the instructor. Enrollment is restricted by an audition or permission of the instructor. An in-depth study of movement styles and qualities in jazz dance. Advanced work on integrating music and movement with focus upon chronology of jazz music and corresponding dance forms.
