Modern Dance Technique I.

Catalog description

Semester course; 6 studio hours. 3 credits. May be repeated for a maximum of 12 credits toward graduation with the recommendation of the department chair. Corequisite: DANC 110 . Enrollment is restricted to dance majors or by departmental approval. Fundamental study and training in principles of modern dance technique. Emphasis is on body alignment, spatial patterning, flexibility, strength and kinesthetic awareness. The course includes weekly group exploration of techniques related to all areas of dance.
