Introduction to Problem-solving.

Catalog description

Semester course; 3 lecture and 2 laboratory hours. 4 credits. Enrollment is restricted to majors in the College of Engineering. Introduction to problem solving and implementation of solutions using Python. The course introduces students to concepts and practice of structured programming, problem-solving, top-down design of algorithms, a Python language syntax and control structures. The course content also includes instruction in critical-thinking and problem-solving skills using contemporary tools. Students may not receive credit for both CMSC 254 and CMSC 210 .
