Semester course; 3 lecture hours. 3 credits. Prerequisite: Two semesters of general chemistry. Concurrent prerequisite: CLRS 303 . Presents the techniques employed in the performance of routine nuclear medicine procedures. Topics include anatomy and physiology, pathology, patient preparation, contraindications, radiopharmaceuticals, dose route of administration, biodistribution, imaging protocols, equipment setup, and common findings.
