Catalog description

Semester course; 4 laboratory hours. 2 credits. Prerequisite: MHIS 146 . Enrollment is restricted to piano majors or by permission of the instructor. Emphasis on the development of applicable skills at the piano that include sight-reading involving solo piano, choral and orchestral excerpts, playing from lead sheets in popular styles plus basic elements of improvisation.
