Catalog description

Applied study in trombone at the upper level (starting in the third year). The student participates in 60-minute weekly lessons, weekly studio class, and an end-of-semester jury. The student is expected to perform in studio class and at least once in Seminar (twice for performance majors). Music Performance majors register for and perform the Junior Recital (MUSI 380) in the second semester of the junior year, and the Senior Recital ( MUSI 480 ) in the final semester of study. Students in the B.A. Music with Jazz Studies concentration and B.M. Music Education programs register for and perform a Senior Recital ( MUSI 499 ) in the last semester of study (for music education majors, the last semester before student teaching). Prerequisite: MUSA 127 ; Corequisite: MUSI 317 .
