Survey of Shakespeare’s later work, with reading of selected plays and their study against the background of Jacobean social, critical, and theatrical ideas. Emphasis on tragedies and romances. Prerequisites: ENGL 110 or ENGL 112 AND ENGL 111 or ENGL 113 and for English majors, ENGL 203 .
