Focuses on oral and written discourse which is used to describe, explain, inform, and persuade. Emphasizes showing rather than telling to communicate to an audience or reader in clear and objective language. Required readings serve as prompts for the study of rhetorical patterns, style and organization. Involves research and appropriate technology. Prerequisite: “C” or better in ENGL 110 and in ENGL 111 .
