Catalog description

This course is designed to support pre-service and early-career educators in successfully preparing for teacher licensure examinations in the state of Virginia. Through targeted instruction, diagnostic assessments, and individualized study plans, students will strengthen their content knowledge in core subject areas, refine test-taking strategies, and build confidence in navigating the Praxis exams. Emphasis is placed on understanding licensure requirements, interpreting test frameworks, applying pedagogical theory to practice, and stress management. This course is repeatable, and students must receive a grade of C or higher to pass.
