Catalog description

For Business Majors only. An overview of the marketing, engineering, financial, and production decisions involved in developing new products and determining the product mix; examination of the theory, tools, and approaches that can be used to assist managers in making effective new product and process decisions; specific topics include consumer behavior, marketing research, optimization techniques, capital budgeting, and product and process design using Total Quality Management; a comprehensive integrative case is used to illustrate these ideas. Prerequisite: COBU 260 and Completion of the Pre-Business Phase requirements.
