Catalog description

This course introduces the principles of conservation biology with an emphasis on ecological processes operating at population, community and ecosystem levels of organization. Threats to biological diversity, ranging from species introduction to habitat destruction and conservation solutions such as the design of protected areas and conservation legislation will be covered. Prerequisites: BIOL 205 Integrative Organismal Biology and BIOL 324 Ecology.
