Catalog description

Introduction to wastewater treatment, students will explore the scope, limits, and methods of the wastewater treatment process, water reclamation, and by-product disposal. This course will emphasize the overall environmental impacts and requirements to properly treat wastewater. This course is designed for individuals seeking employment or already employed in the wastewater field. The course will include the Expected Range of Knowledge (ERK) required to pass the California State Water Resource Control Board (SWRCB) examination at the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Grade I or Grade II Level.
