This course delves into the critical issues influencing the psychological well-being of Latina/o populations, examining the lasting impacts of historical trauma, racism, discrimination, stereotypes, immigration, and acculturation. The course explores the pivotal role of communities and community-based organizations in developing impactful mental health intervention strategies for Latinos. Additionally, the course aims to equip students with the essential competencies, knowledge, and skills needed to effectively engage and work with Latino populations.
