Nursing Care of the Child and Adolescent Practicum

Catalog description

This practicum course provides experiences in caring for the infant, child, and adolescent experiencing acute and chronic illness. The nursing process is integrated in providing age-appropriate and culturally-competent care. The course focuses on collaboration with the child, family, and other members of the health care team in promoting health and the adaptation to illness. Clinical experiences (90 hours) will be spent in simulated, community-based, and acute care environments. Students must take NRS-420 concurrently.
