Persuasive Writing

Catalog description

Exposition and argument at the college level. The course emphasizes writing, revising and editing, reading, research skills, and mechanics. Course must be passed with a "C" (not "C-") or better to enroll in ENGL-220C . Students with an Evidence-Based Reading and Writing SAT score of 610 or higher or an ACT score of 25 or higher may place out of this course into ENGL-220C . Based on a written diagnostic, some students will be additionally registered for the supplementary writing lab ( ENGL-120CL ).
