Catalog description

Rural, Urban, and Community Nursing is a comprehensive course designed to prepare students for the diverse challenges and opportunities in nursing practice across various healthcare settings. This course explores the unique aspects of healthcare delivery in rural, urban, and community settings, emphasizing the role of the nurse in promoting health equity, addressing social determi nants of health, and providing culturally competent care to diverse populations. In coordination with these topics, students will also continue to develop an understanding of communication, interprofessional collaboration, teamwork, empathy, and evidence -based strategies to provide effective medical treatment for a variety of patients in each setting.
