Catalog description

Building upon the foundational knowledge and skills acquired in NUR160, this course focuses on the application of nursing principles and interventions in the care of individuals with complex health needs across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on the holis tic nursing care of patients across the lifespan with acute and chronic illnesses, medication administration, health assessment, nursing interventions, and therapeutic communication. Students will further develop their nursing competencies to provide safe, patient-centered care in a variety of healthcare settings. Prerequisites: ENG115, ISD205-AN, MAT125-AN, BIO101, BIO201, BIO202, NUR103, NUR104, NUR155, & NUR160
