Catalog description

This course will provide students with the foundational knowledge and skills essential for professional nursing practice. Thi s course emphasizes the holistic care of individuals across the lifespan, with a focus on fundamental nursing concepts, therapeutic communication, health assessment, and basic nursing interventions. Students will develop the foundational competencies necessary to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence- based nursing care to diverse populations. Students will also continue to develop their nursing skills associated with teamwork, communication within the interprofessional team and with patients, collaboration, em pathy, evidenced based practice, safety, compliance, and sanitation. Prerequisites: ENG115, ISD205-AN, MAT125-AN, BIO101, BIO201, BIO202, NUR103 & NUR104
