Pathophysiology and Pharmacology II

Building on concepts from NUR155, this course delves deeper into the mechanisms of complex diseases and advanced pharmacological treatments. Students will study the pathophysiology of chronic conditions and acute illnesses, as well as the pharmacological management of these disorders. Emphasis will be placed on drug interactions, side effects, and clinical application, equipping students with the knowledge needed for effective patient care and medication management in diverse healthcare settings. By the end of the course, students will have developed a strong foundation in the concepts and practices of nursing pathophysiology and pharmac ology and will be able to apply this knowledge in a range of healthcare settings for a variety of patients across the human lifespan. Prerequisites: ENG115, ISD205-AN, MAT125-AN, BIO101, BIO201, BIO202, NUR103, NUR104, NUR155, & NUR160
