Medical Assisting – Laboratory

Catalog description

This course focuses on developing skills for laboratory procedures in a physician’s office, including phlebotomy, glucose tes ting, microscopic examination, urinalysis, pregnancy testing, risk management, HIPAA, infection control, and safety. Students will work in a competency-based environment where they will obtain hands-on instruction on procedures.
