Catalog description

Medical Assisting - Procedures focuses on skills for diagnostic and surgical procedures in a physician’s office, including EKG, respiratory testing, radiology, and wound care. It also covers risk management, HIPAA, infection control, safety, and AIDS -related precautions. Students will work in a competency-based environment where they will obtain hands-on instruction on procedures.
