Catalog description

Health Information Technology Management builds on a series of Electronic Health Record (EHR) concepts by taking the students through the emerging health information issues facing the Health Services industry. These topics will include a focus on systems management and oversight, clinical and administrative classifications, state and federal governance, data input, updates, quality control, and the generation of electronic health records. Students will also focus on additional topics that include revenue cycles and data, ongoing compliance related issues with EHR’s and risk management. Finally, students will use these concepts and principles to apply their knowledge to link the work of physicians, administrators, and other medical professionals in the continued process of patient care.
