Catalog description

A multidisciplinary study of historical and contemporary perspectives on death and dying. Topics include individual and societal attitudes towards death, dying, and end-of-life issues; cultural differences and customs; professions and industries associated with death and dying; bereavement and grief; ethics and end-of-life concerns; and portrayals of death and dying in popular culture. Typically Offered: Spring, odd years. Prerequisite : SOC 110 .
