Catalog description

A course designed to provide an essential foundation for teaching piano. The class focuses on teaching techniques, evaluations of recent piano method books, piano repertoire, piano technique, and the skills of practicing, memorizing, and performing. An integral part of the class is observation of instruction and student teaching of private and/or group lessons under faculty supervision. Typically Offered: Spring.
