Catalog description

This course covers the selection and acquisition of school library resources with emphasis on techniques to assure a balanced collection reflecting a diversity of format and content. Topics include profiling the resource needs of learners to address state and national standards, analyzing the library collection, developing selection criteria for materials in a variety of formats, and managing the acquisitions process. Typically Offered: Summer.
