An introduction course regarding the nature and scope of Physical Education through a critical examination of sport and play and how they contributed to the development of formal physical education. The course is designed to provide the historical foundations for physical education, fitness, and sport as a part of the physical education umbrella. Special attention is focused on the role of physical education within the total educational program. Typically Offered: Fall.
