Art survey of western art from Renaissance to the present. Students study world artwork from the Renaissance, Early Modern, and Modern periods, approximately the late 14th century through the early 20th century. Students analyze artwork from stylistic, historical, political, and religious perspectives. Topics include Renaissance Europe, European colonialism, colonial and early American art, South American independence, Native American traditions, and Modern Art and World War II. Typically Offered: Spring, odd years.
