Prerequisite(s): EDSC 3000 , EDSC 4550G , matriculation in to a Secondary Education Program, and University Advanced Standing For theatre majors interested in teaching theatre arts at the secondary and college levels. Introduces methodologies, strategies, and philosophies of theatre pedagogy based upon current research and practices. Emphasizes lesson plan writing using the Utah State Secondary Theatre Core Curriculum and the National Committee for Standards in the Arts. Integrates theory and practice through lecture, discussion, writing, activities, and classroom teaching experiences in the college and public school settings.
