Prerequisite(s): [( SPAN 3030 and SPAN 3040 ) or SPAN 3050 ] and University Advanced Standing Introduces representative Spanish American authors from all time periods since Spanish colonization. Emphasizes literary analysis and criticism. Completers should develop knowledge of literary history, acquire skills in interpreting literary texts, and deepen understanding of the Spanish language. Presentations and class instruction conducted entirely in Spanish.
