Prerequisite(s): ( PORT 3050 recommended, or equivalent knowledge) and University Advanced Standing Examines the literary and filmic construction of Brazil 1500-1900. Reflects on the philosophical, social, and aesthetics issues that shaped Colonial and Old Republic Brazil. Conducted entirely in Portuguese, presentations and class instruction included.
