Prerequisite(s): University Advanced Standing Explores the evolving relationship between democratic institutions and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence. Examines the role of science and technology in shaping political institutions and democratic values. Analyzes challenges and opportunities posed by AI and algorithmic decision-making for democratic accountability, liberty, equality, and Constitutional government.
