Prerequisite(s): ( PHIL 1000 or PHIL 1000H or PHIL 2050 or PHIL 2050H or PHIL 2050G or PHIL 2110 or PHIL 2150 or instructor approval) and University Advanced Standing Provides an opportunity for students to conduct an in-depth study of specific topics in epistemology. Topics may include the foundations of knowledge; the nature of justification; the problem of skepticism, and the nature of scientific, religious, and/or moral knowledge. Emphasizes the rigorous analysis of arguments and offers the opportunity for students to develop their own original critical analysis and argument. May be repeated for a maximum of 9 credits toward graduation.
