Prerequisite(s): IT 1600 , IT 2600 , and University Advanced Standing Presents concepts, principles, and deployment considerations across all technologies that are used for storing and managing information. Describes challenges and solutions for data storage and data management, intelligent storage systems, and storage networking. Studies backup, recovery, and archive processes. Discusses business continuity, disaster recovery, storage security and virtualization, and managing and monitoring the storage infrastructure. Lab access fee of $45 for computers applies.
