Corequisite(s): GEO 4080 Takes a hands-on approach to petrology. Provides opportunities for the student to collect and work with data to illuminate a variety of petrologic processes. Implements rock and mineral sample reference collections, field trip(s), petrographic microscopes, sample preparation labs, analytical instrumentation to investigate petrogenetic processes.
