Prerequisite(s): GEO 1220 , GEO 3080 , ( PHYS 2010 or PHYS 2210 ), and University Advanced Standing Investigates the fundamentals of global plate tectonics and rock deformation. Includes applications to petroleum geology, environmental geology, and engineering geology. Explores geometric techniques of structural analysis in the laboratory. Involves field trips, possibly including weekend trips. Course lab fee of $32 for transportation, lab applies.
