Prerequisite(s): GEO 1010 or GEO 1030 or GEO 1040 or GEO 1050 Pre- or Corequisite(s): GEO 1220 Reviews fundamental processes and principles of geology and biology. Develops skills for identifying main types of minerals, rocks, and fossils. Develops tools for interpreting Earth history through analysis of rocks, fossils, and paleoclimate data. Develops skills for correlating strata and reading geologic maps. Includes field trips to study local outcrops. Course lab fee of $21 applies.
