Prerequisite(s): FREN 3050 and University Advanced Standing Explores chronologically to 1700 the formation and development of French speaking societies and cultures. Traces the ethnic development and linguistic history of these societies and peoples, as well as examines manifestations of their aesthetic endeavors. Presentations and class instruction conducted entirely in French.
