Prerequisite(s): Department Approval For students whose native language is other than English. Explores listening strategies for academic news programs and academic lectures. Emphasizes active participation in academic and social conversations. Develops ability to give academic presentations. Studies high-intermediate concepts of pronunciation, intonation, stress, and reductions. Includes weekly use of the UVU Language Lab where high-intermediate listening skills are emphasized and practiced.
