Prerequisite(s): ENGL 3440 and University Advanced Standing Provides advanced instruction in practices and techniques for generating, writing, and revising original poetry. Focuses on contemporary poetry and critical theories associated with contemporary poetry. Investigates various approaches to writing poetry through a series of readings, writing exercises, and revision assignments. Utilizes the creative writing workshop as the primary method of critical engagement with original poetry writing.
