Catalog description

Prerequisite(s): ENGL 2250 or ENGL 2250H with a C- or higher and University Advanced Standing Provides intermediate instruction in practices and techniques for generating, writing, and revising original poetry. Focuses on contemporary poetry and critical theories associated with contemporary poetry. Utilizes the creative writing workshop as the primary method of critical engagement with and critique of original poetry. May include attendance at poetry readings, memorizations, and submission of original poetry to literary journals.
