Prerequisite(s): EGDT 2600 with a grade of B- or higher Examines architectural long-span and high-rise structures with an emphasis on steel and concrete construction. Covers stresses, strains, properties of materials, Poisson's ratio, thermal effects, shear force, bending moments, lateral loads, deflection, connections, beam design and column design. Lab access fee of $45 applies.
