Provides foundational knowledge on supporting multilingual learners (MLs) in K-12 settings, using current research and case studies. Provides tools to evaluate data on ML’s academic and linguistic growth. Addresses reflection on current educational practices to evaluate and improve meeting ML’s needs. Emphasizes goal setting, lesson planning and data collection procedures for ongoing cycles of action research.
