Methods of Elementary Language Arts and Literacy. ((3 Credits))

Catalog description

Provides foundations in analyzing and delivering research-based language arts instruction to elementary grade students with disabilities, including second language learners with disabilities. Integrates knowledge of language assessments and the components of quality reading instruction to plan well-sequenced and explicit instruction for students with disabilities. Examines objectives that align with the Utah Core Standards for English Language Arts K-6 curriculum and Utah Essential Standards for English Language Arts standards while still providing individualization.
