Catalog description

Prerequisite(s): University Advanced Standing and admission to Professional Education Program or permission of department chair Provides students with knowledge, strategies, and resources necessary to prepare students with disabilities for the transition from school to postsecondary education, employment, community participation, and independent living. Provides skills for transition planning and helping students access services necessary to reach their desired outcomes and become as independent as possible. Emphasizes the person-centered planning process, which embeds decisions based on students' preferences, interests, and abilities.
