Prerequisite(s): University Advanced Standing and admission to Professional Education Program or permission of department chair Includes theory and philosophy for teachers working with diverse populations, grades K-6. Outlines critical need for knowing students' personal, cultural, and community assets, as well as academic strengths and needs. Addresses strategies for pre- and formative assessment determining instruction that differentiates content, learning processes, and products for students' readiness, interests, and learning profiles.
