Prerequisite(s): University Advanced Standing and admission to Professional Education Program Provides an examination of the purposes of assessment and how assessment practices and strategies are used to improve student learning. Addresses development, use, and interpretation of classroom assessments including pre-assessment, informal, formal, and summative assessments. Emphasizes the use of effective feedback and how to guide elementary students in self-assessment of learning.
