Prerequisite(s): MGMT 2240 with a C or better; ECON 2020 ; University Advanced Standing Covers at an intermediate level some of the key quantitative tools at the intersection of Economics and Data Analytics. Applies optimization techniques and machine learning methods to solve economic and business problems. Explains how to inspect, prepare, transform, and visualize data, as well as estimate empirical models of real-world scenarios using R. Uses lectures, class discussions, and various in-class activities to foster engaged learning.
