Prerequisite(s): Intermediate-level ballroom dance experience, and University Advanced Standing Covers ballroom dance teaching methods for basic figures of American and International-Style ballroom dances. Covers technical and theoretical aspects such as footwork, amounts of turn and rhythm. Emphasizes calling steps. Explores proper music selection and tempo. Introduces students to the Imperial Society of Teachers of Ballroom Dance theory and prepares them to teach professionally.
