Introduces students to the street dance style, Hip-Hop. Focuses on the foundation, historical origin, and exhibition aspects of the technique. Discusses the history of Hip-Hop culture and discusses influences within the genre of music and dance. Includes freestyling, creative approaches to learning modalities, and Hip-Hop foundations. Uses uncensored music, which may include explicit content. Discusses the politics of sexuality, race, and gender as they pertain to Hip-Hop. May be repeated for a maximum of 3 credits toward graduation.
