Prerequisite(s): University Advanced Standing Examines the complex relationship between human communication and the social worlds in which we live. Looks at ways behavior in roles, institutions, and culture are socially constructed through language. Examines discourses and their roles in constructing social phenomena, with an emphasis on the relationships between discourse and power.
